At the University of Idaho, he was a multi-time All-American and a finalist for the Ray Guy Award, recognizing him as one of the top punters in college football. He led the country in punting average in both 2013 and 2014. Rehkow was a 1st Team All-Conference punter for three consecutive years and a 1st Team All-Independent punter for an additional year. Additionally, he was honored as a 2nd Team All-Conference kicker twice. He set records in field goals and punting average during his college career. Post-college, he signed with the Buffalo Bills before moving to the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts, and also played in the AAF with the Salt Lake Stallions and in the XFL with the Houston Roughnecks
