Johnson learned about the One on One Kicking Camp from the Bobcats’ special teams coordinator Brad Franchione, who is also the team’s linebackers coach. Franchione did some research about summer kicking camps and wanted Johnson to give it some serious thought.
If Johnson — who will be Texas State’s starting kicker and punter in 2012 — was going to take the next step (like the coaching staff wants), he’d need to step out of his comfort zone…………
